Realme 16 Pro Series to launch in india

Realme has started officially teasing the Realme 16 Pro Series for India, and current reports point to a January 6, 2026, debut with two models—Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+—aimed at the premium mid-range segment. Most specifications and pricing are still “expected/leaked,” but multiple sources consistently mention a 144Hz AMOLED display, a 7,000mAh-class battery, Snapdragon chips, and upgraded zoom-focused cameras.

OVERVIEW: REALME 16 PRO

Display and Design

Realme says the 16 Pro series will bring a refined design language focused on craftsmanship and durability, and its teaser also signals the return of the “Master design.” On the display side, the most repeated expectation is a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate for the Realme 16 Pro. Croma Unboxed also reports the same 6.78-inch AMOLED 1.5K 144Hz display expectation for the 16 Pro based on leaks, aligning with other coverage.

Beebom further lists an IP68/69 dust and water resistance rating, 7.75mm thickness, and 192g weight for the Realme 16 Pro, which—if accurate—would be a notable durability upgrade in this segment. For colours, Beebom’s timeline mentions “Master Gold, Master Grey, Camellia Pink, and Orchid Purple” for the Realme 16 Pro. Separately, Croma Unboxed reports the Pro+ could arrive in Master Grey, Master Gold, and Camellia Pink, and notes a leaked retail box showing a new grey packaging design (instead of Realme’s usual yellow).

Camera

Realme’s teaser puts camera zoom at the center, explicitly hinting “up to 10x zoom,” which strongly suggests a telephoto-assisted approach on at least one model. GSMArena reports the Realme 16 Pro is expected to include a periscope telephoto camera, a key change because the Realme 15 Pro series reportedly skipped a telephoto lens. Croma Unboxed also says the Pro+ is rumoured to include a periscope telephoto camera and may use a more powerful chipset than the 16 Pro.

For the Realme 16 Pro, multiple sources converge on a 200MP main camera expectation, and Croma Unboxed specifically mentions a “200MP + 8MP” dual rear setup in leaks. Beebom’s spec page similarly lists a 200MP main camera plus an 8MP ultra-wide camera for the 16 Pro. On the front, both GSMArena and Croma Unboxed mention a 50MP selfie camera for the 16 Pro, and Beebom also lists a 50MP front sensor.

Performance

Realme’s teaser imagery includes Snapdragon branding, confirming the series will use a Snapdragon chip (though the exact SoC per model is not fully official yet). Beebom lists the Realme 16 Pro as powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. GSMArena adds that the “China variant” of the Realme 16 Pro is expected to offer up to 16GB RAM, which may or may not match India configurations exactly.

Battery is another headline: both FoneArena and GSMArena state expectations of a 7,000mAh battery, and Beebom’s Realme 16 Pro page also lists a 7,000mAh capacity. On charging, Beebom lists 80W wired charging for the 16 Pro, and Croma Unboxed repeats the expectation of a 7,000mAh battery with 80W charging support. For software, Croma Unboxed expects Realme UI 7 based on Android 16, and Beebom similarly lists Android 16 with Realme UI for the 16 Pro.

Connectivity

Hard connectivity specifications (such as precise 5G bands, Wi-Fi version, Bluetooth version, and NFC/IR blaster) should be regarded as “to be announced” until launch-day spec sheets are available because they haven’t been verified in these reports yet. According to Croma Unboxed’s report, the 16 Pro is expected to have an in-display fingerprint sensor; Beebom also lists an in-display fingerprint scanner. If Beebom’s IP68/69 classification is accurate, it would also enhance practical dependability for daily use in dusty and rainy circumstances.

Expected price, variants, and colours

Pricing remains unofficial, but one detailed leak roundup claims an expected India price of around ₹30,990 for Realme 16 Pro and roughly ₹35,000–₹38,000 for the Realme 16 Pro+ (with higher storage variants possibly costing more). Beebom’s Realme 16 Pro page similarly pegs the phone around ₹30,999 as an expected price. On variants/colours, a Croma Unboxed report citing a tipster says the Realme 16 Pro+ could come in 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB, with colour options including Master Grey, Master Gold, and Camellia Pink.
