Do you usually find yourself searching for a pair of wireless earphones right before you need them? Or do you simply forget to pack them? If so, you should have a look at the Huawei Watch Buds, a watch that appears regular but actually conceals a pair of true wireless headphones. The watch’s top lifts up when a button is pressed, exposing a tiny pair of “buds” that address the previously described problems.

Huawei Watch Buds Overview:
Watch Design & Buds Design
Huawei notes that the crown has a clous de Paris finish, which is an embossed finish occasionally seen on the bezel of a high-end watch, but you’d never see it. The watch has a plain leather band with a modest case; the watch’s short, curving lugs lack personality. Although the screen is composed of lithium aluminum silicate and has a sharp 3D curve before it reaches the casing, which may provide it with some respectable scratch resistance, it seems like plastic to the touch. Even worse, when you tap it and fasten it back into place after removing the earbuds, it makes a plastic sound.
The Watch Buds really succeed in this department because they are small enough to fit within a smartwatch. They only measure 21mm in length, 10mm in width, and weigh 4 grams apiece. They don’t have any long stalks or a striking design. These resemble little bullets that you insert into your ears. The Watch Buds don’t strictly have a left or right earpiece, despite the L and R positions being indicated on the watch’s dial’s underside. They are cunning enough to recognize which ear they are in and modify the sound accordingly. They are also quite simple to deal with, as long as the tip is facing down and they are positioned in any way inside the watch.
Audio quality of Buds
The earbuds’ quad magnet planar driver produces sound, and they are compatible with SBC, AAC, and L2HD codecs. I prefer the sound in the Health app when it is set to the Default or Voices sound profile. When the bass grows loud and heavy, the Bass Boost setting reveals how bad they are because the sound is muddy and uncontrolled. They’re excellent for casual listening, but don’t expect to perform any “critical” listening – as you might anticipate from this kind of product. Calls and spoken words are pleasant to hear, and if you can get past the strangely lonely feeling, they can even be used to get some sleep.
Connection
It can be a hassle to connect the Huawei Watch Buds to your phone. If you own a Huawei phone, the connection works flawlessly and without any issues, just like with all previous Huawei smartwatches. Also, it’s surprisingly simple if you have an iPhone. But, it can be difficult if you use a non-Huawei Android phone. It needs the Huawei Health app, which can be downloaded for iOS devices through the Apple App Store, while Android users must do it via the Huawei App Gallery or directly from Huawei’s website.
To install the Health app on an Android device, you must first accept privacy and security risk notifications. After that, you must manually grant the app permission to send notifications, track location, handle calls, and other functions.
