Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra goes official with 13th Gen CPU & RTX 40 series GPU

Along with the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Samsung also unveiled the curtain on the Galaxy Book 3 series. The most unique of the whole range is the Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra. This is the first Samsung laptop to carry the “Ultra” branding, so the company is going for high performance with a 13th Gen processor and RTX 40-series GPU. Design and Display

While the Book 3 Ultra has the performance to compete with other gaming laptops, it lacks the typical gaming aesthetic. It is simple in design, has an aluminum body and weighs only 1.7 kg. You can choose between two colors: gray or graphite. The laptop also features a full-size backlit keyboard and a 39% larger Windows Precision trackpad than the Galaxy Book 2 Pro.

The front is a 16-inch 2X AMOLED display with 3K (2880 x 1800) resolution. The display is refreshed at 120 Hz, has a peak brightness of 400 nits and covers the 120%DCI-P3 color space. There is also a full HD webcam for video chats on the front.

Performance

When it comes to performance, the Book 3 Ultra has two processor options: Intel Core i7-13700H and Intel Core i9-13900H. However, the difference between the two is not drastic. With an 8% higher Turbo Boost frequency, the i9-13900H retains a marginal performance advantage over the i7-13700H.

In terms of graphics, the Core i9 variant is single-GPU for Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 paired laptop, while the i7-13700H is paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card. Storage option includes up to 32GB RAM and up to 1TB SSD storage.
