The Vivo V series is a shining example of how a decent camera system and a nice design can go a long way. The X series normally holds the title of being the greatest Vivo phone, therefore the V series models may not be the best Vivo phones, but they have acquired a lot of popularity among users worldwide. The new Vivo V29 is prepared to build on the popularity of the existing Vivo V27’s elegant design.
On October 4, a new lineup will debut, expected to feature the Vivo V29. The new phones are expected to include modest hardware upgrades and basically the same design as their forerunners. So, let’s move on to further details, specifications, price, and more.

Vivo V29 Overview:
Design and Display
A cleverly hidden component of the Pro model is a rear panel that changes colors. Since we have seen it in a couple of earlier editions as well, this feature is not wholly new. On it this time, though, the standard model won’t be present. Both gadgets will have a dual-glass back and a plastic frame, just like the V27 and V25 models. The design of these cell phones makes them noticeably light and slim.
Both of them have sides that are curled towards their longer edges, giving them a curved form that looks expensive. The 6.78-inch AMOLED screen on the Vivo V29 will have 1B colors and a resolution of 1260×2800 pixels. The tablet also features a 453ppi resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 120Hz refresh rate. The 10-bit panel offers 1300 nits of local peak brightness, 2160Hz PWM dimming, an 80,000:1 contrast ratio, and other features.
Camera
The Vivo V29 configures a 50MP Sony IMX766V primary sensor with OIS support, an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide sensor, and a 12MP Sony IMX663 2x telephoto sensor. On the stock V29, the primary camera and ultra-wide shooter remain the same. However, Vivo swapped out the telephoto shooter for a 2MP ineffective depth sensor. These cameras are combined with a standard dual-tone LED torch and a soft light.
Performance
The Dimensity 7200 chipset has been replaced by the Snapdragon 778G in the current model. The performance is a little bit of a step back, as we’ll see later, but the 778G is still a good option.
Battery and Others
With a thickness of a beautifully slender 7.5mm, Vivo was adamant about keeping the V29’s waistline narrow. As a result, the battery’s capacity was limited to 4,600mAh, which, if the V27 is any indicator, should be adequate. The V27’s 66W spec for charging has been replaced with an 80W rating, but those are largely meaningless figures, so we’ll be monitoring charging speed.
Last but not least, the V29 has an IP68 rating, which you won’t really notice but will definitely truly value at least that one time. It’s good to see vivo going above and above for a feature that is becoming more prevalent, especially in mid-range devices.
Some of the issues that made the V27 less competitive than it should have been haven’t been addressed by vivo with the V29. The most recent model still only has one speaker while all of its competitors have two, video stabilization is still subpar, and wireless charging has become more common in the midrange, but the V29 doesn’t have it either.
